Major Pixaria update coming soon...

It's been a little while since I posted any news on Pixaria so I thought I'd take a few minutes to write about the next update to the script.

For this update, I've been doing a lot of work on the store and search systems and have been able to add support for offering multiple payment methods (no new payment methods just yet) and also options for setting the shipping charge to a fixed rate for any number of physical products.

The search engine in Pixaria has also had a few minor improvements mostly behind the scenes but one big change is that all the site's search forms are displayed by means of a new bundled Pixie which allows you to easily place a search form onto any page you wish to. This work also sets the stage for additional major improvements to the search system coming in the next few months.

Another new feature in the next update is a new admin homepage which I'm calling the dashboard. This page becomes the default point of entry for the administrator section of Pixaria and shows you the latest news from Pixaria.com as well as a summary of the status of your website.

There are some additional changes planned too but I want to see how I get on with finishing them before I post any details. Stay tuned for more updates soon!

Happy New Year

Well here we are at the start of another year and Pixaria is now one year old! I've got plenty of major updates planned for the coming year and a new and improved website for Pixaria which will be out before the end of the month.
